Dear Colleagues
Greetings & Welcome to ‘Histopathology & Cytology Society of Pakistan (HCSP)’ official website. I am very pleased to confirm that our society is duly registered and official ‘Bank Account’ is also opened. This young society is in its 4th year and has already achieved full confidence and support of‘Histopathologists & Cytologists’ across Pakistan. In last three years it regularly held its annual conferences in various cities of Pakistan. First annual conference was held at Allama Iqbal Medical College in Lahore, followed by 2nd annual conference in Nathiagali in 2011 and 3rd again in Lahore in 2012. All these events were much appreciated and thankfully received by trainees and accomplished pathologists alike. I am now delighted to confirm that the 4th annual conference of HCSP will be held on 2nd November (Saturday), at ‘Hotel Pearl Continental’ Karachi. This year it is combined with 1stannual meeting of ‘International Academy of Pathology (IAP)-Pakistan Division’ which was revived last year. Its current full membership this year stands at 115. I am also pleased to share that world president of IAP Prof Samir Amr has also confirmed to come to Karachi to join us at this occasion. In addition few other international speakers are also invited and are expected to deliver guest lectures and workshops.
You may remember that last year for the first time joint meetings of ‘Societies of Pathology’ including HCSP was held along with PAP at Rawalpindi/Islamabad. This year again it is planned to be held along with PAP 2013 in Lahore from 20-22nd December, 2013. These two annual forums therefore provide good enough possibilities to bring us together to update ourselves, exchange views, collaborate and make new friends.
Finally on behalf of HCSP & IAP-Pakistan Division I cordially invite you to join us on 2ndNovember, 2013 and then on December 20-22, 2013 to make these events memorable and open future new doors of opportunity for our society and discipline.
