Case Description

A few details

History:

A 58-year-old postmenopausal woman presented to the breast clinic with a slowly enlarging lump in her left breast for the past 10 months. She reported intermittent sharp, localized pain over the lump but denied nipple discharge, skin changes, fever, or weight loss. On physical examination, a 2.3 × 2.0 cm, firm, relatively well-circumscribed, slightly tender mass was palpated in the upper outer quadrant of the left breast. The overlying skin and nipple were unremarkable. No palpable axillary or supraclavicular lymph nodes were identified.
